Will AI Really Change Everything?

It’s been hypothesized that AI is going to change everything in the next few years, but how true is this really? It’s an interesting theory, especially since there have been so many problems with it over the years, and there are still many flaws with the way that it works at the moment. 

But, it’s still worth considering because with the rise in tech and AI over the last decade or so, it’s a fair discussion to have. So, down below, we’re going to be looking at whether we believe AI really will change everything, or not? Find out more by reading on.

Automation Has Been Around For Years

First and foremost, we want to point out that automation has been around for years, and nobody has wondered if it’s going to take over the world before. We know that the way things are advancing are fast paced, and that some people may be worried at the rate by which intelligence is learning, but for now, it doesn’t seem as though things are going where many think they are.

As we said, automation has been around for years, with things as simple as a water filling machine being an automated process these days. It might not be what you think of when you think of automation, but it is, and if this has been around for years and nothing has really changed that much, we don’t see why it would now.

It’s A Tool Not A Replacement 

We also want to point out that AI and automation in general is used as a tool to make life easier for us, not as a replacement for us. We can see why with the evolution of ChatCPT and other tools like it, people would think that we’re going to be replaced by AI, but it’s not accurate enough to do that. It’s also no match for humans in certain areas, so while it’s there to aid and assist, it’s not taking over everything, and replacing the need for people. 

It’s Difficult To Predict 

Ultimately, regardless of what you might imagine you know about AI right now, it’s difficult to know exactly how things are going to turn out in the future. That said there are lots of different elements that you should think about here and it’s not all doom and gloom. Ultimately, it’s all about making sure that you are being realistic in terms of what AI can achieve right now and what it could achieve in the future. Even then it’s unlikely that anyone is going to hit the bullseye in terms of where we are going to be 5 years from today.
