Siddhartha Mukherjee

Siddhartha Mukherjee is an oncologist, biologist, and author whose career has been spent at the intersection of cancer research and patient care. He earned his PhD from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and his MD from Harvard Medical School, and has conducted research and practiced medicine at leading cancer centers including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Columbia University Medical Center. The Emperor of All Maladies, published in 2010, won the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction. He has also written The Gene: An Intimate History and contributed regularly to publications including The New York Times and The New Yorker. His work is distinguished by its ability to translate complex science into deeply human narratives.
