Randall Munroe

Randall Munroe, who has a background in physics, began his career building robots at a NASA research center. Leaving the aerospace field, he pursued his passion for illustration and communication. He launched a webcomic called xkcd, which gained fans quickly because of its clever, insightful, and humorous approach to science. Munroe explores complex ideas in an accessible way, and he does a great job of bridging the gap between technical subjects and everyday life.
