About the author

Og Mandino (1923–1996) was an American author and motivational speaker who transformed millions of lives through his writings on personal development and spirituality. After serving as a bomber pilot in World War II, Mandino struggled with alcoholism and homelessness. His turning point came when he stumbled into a library and began reading self-help and inspirational books.

That experience inspired him to rebuild his life—and to write books that would help others do the same. His works, including The Greatest Secret in the World, The Choice, and The Christ Commission, have sold over 50 million copies and been translated into more than 25 languages.

Mandino later became the president of Success Unlimited magazine and was inducted into the National Speakers Association Hall of Fame. His writing blends psychology, spirituality, and timeless storytelling, offering readers a path to self-mastery and purpose.

Through his legacy, Og Mandino continues to remind the world that every person has the power to rise, redeem, and reinvent themselves, no matter how humble their beginnings.
