Elliot Aronson is one of the most influential social psychologists of the past century, known for his research into persuasion, self justification, and prejudice reduction. He wrote The Social Animal, a widely used introduction to social psychology, and Nobody Left to Hate, which grew out of his work studying the toxic social dynamics in American schools following the Columbine shooting. Over his career he's received numerous awards for his research, writing, and teaching, and he's the only person in the history of the American Psychological Association to win its top awards in all three categories: writing, teaching, and research.
